Emma Warren
Senior Mentor and Education Officer, LIVE Futures


Emma is a virtuoso journalist, seasoned editor and sagacious lecturer on the dark arts of journalism. Co-founder of cult dance music magazine, Jockey Slut, she also worked on staff at THE FACE (RIP) for four years and her musical musings have appeared in The Guardian, The Observer, The Independent and a glittering array of music and style magazines. She is currently a contributing editor at Dummy and Intersection magazines and has created and edited bespoke print and online content for C4, 20th Century Fox and Storm Models. As well as lecturing positions at Goldsmiths and LCC, Emma was also a judge on the Mercury Music Prize for four years. LIVE were delighted to tempt Emma into the family in March 2007 as a senior mentor with special responsibility for developing educational opportunities and focus on engaging the hardest-to-reach young people, in a post funded by the Tom Ap Rhys Price Memorial Trust.
